Bhajans are Hindu devotional songs sung primarily to the Vaishnava deities Rama and Krishna. During our time in Ellora, we invited a group of people who sing bhajans at the Rama Temple to sing their devotional songs for all the people at the Hotel Kailas where we were staying. We were honored that they agreed. We spread blankets on the lawn, bundled up in sweaters and wool shawls, and sat with them as they sang to us of Rama and Krishna. The evening ended with an invitation for us to go to the Rama Temple on Thursday evening two days later
to sing and play finger cymbals with them as they sang their devotion to the gods.
