Cave #29 Cave 29 is known as "Sita ki nanahi" or "Sita ki kunda", the bathing place or well of Sita. Full of water in the monsoon months, this cave is an attraction for honeymooning couples who like to have their pictures taken against the backdrop of the magnificent waterfall. |
| Visitors to this cave, associated as it is with Rama and Sita, the ideal husband and wife, are assured of happier marriages. Even married couples have their photos taken in front of the waterfall for stronger marriages. |
| Continuing the theme of happy marriage, Sita ki kunda also contains wall sculptures of the wedding of Shiva and Parvati and a wonderful depiction of the couple playing their favorite game, dice. | ||
| Toward the outer perimeter of the cave is a huge image of Shiva as destroyer, a reminder that destruction always accompanies creation. | ||
