How to Search the Web for your topic:
Many students are familiar with searching the web, but fail to take advantage of search engines' advanced features. Additionally, keep in mind what you are searching for and search efficiently. Follow these tips:
Use terms such as "clinton administration" and/or "bush administration", "position paper", "policy", "issue" and your topic term
Do preliminary research so that you use the correct terms for your topic (national missle defense, e.g.)
Remember that you will retrieve some very partisan sites; keep the techniques for evaluating web sites in mind and read these sites critically
Many government sites still maintain Clinton administration pages, such as this EPA paper on global warming
